More and more niche WordPress themes appear, suitable for one particular industry. Previously, I wrote an article about the best WordPress hairdressing themes  and now it's time for the best WordPress themes for restaurants and cafes . A website is important because many hungry people are looking for a restaurant on their phone or tablet!
Search them for a restaurant or cafe, then they come naturally with you through Google Places. Once they are on your website, they must immediately become clear why they should eat with you. If the website looks great, then the chance is obviously greater that they decide to come by. In short: ensure a tight website. Start at a suitable  WordPress restaurant theme and let Google do the rest!

ROSA ($ 59)

I can only start with ROSA: the absolute number one when it comes to WordPress themes for restaurants or cafés. At ROSA I could dedicate a whole article because both the features and the appearance do not disappoint. The ROSA restaurant theme is clear, clean, warm and dynamic. Many subtle moves as you scroll down. The theme has many different page templates for, for example, a menu and these are also very good. ROSA is WooCommerce-ready, so you can also offer products in your own web shop. There are countless shortcodes available for buttons, dividing lines, tabs, sliders, reservation forms and more.
ROSA works with the OpenTable system, allowing visitors to book a table on your website. You can also set up this WordPress restaurant theme as one-page theme and you can comprehensive blogging on all sorts of things in the beautifully crafted blog. This WordPress theme is of course fully responsive and retina-ready.
Although I tried to find negative points, I still have to admit: ROSA gets me absolutely 5 out of 5 stars.

Amici ($ 49)

Amici is also very suitable as a WordPress restaurant theme. Amici supports - like ROSA - the OpenTable reservation system and also supports WPML, making it possible to create your website in multiple languages. Amici looks just as different from most WordPress restaurant themes and precisely because it is listed. Clean, cheerful and especially clean. The sub-pages are "superfolded" in a very creative way, from the main menu, which makes you have the idea of browsing a menu. Nicely done.
Amici supports full-screen background images. Here you can enjoy using the atmosphere pictures of your restaurant or café, or just the food. Give your own atmosphere to this WordPress theme with colors, photos and content.

Platonic ($ 49)

A vintage WordPress restaurant theme should of course not be lacking. The vingate style has been popular for a long time, but is now just the highlight of the many restaurant and café themes for WordPress. The Platonic theme is responsive, contains a one-click demo content filler and gives you the ability to give your website a look of colors and photos. The Platonic menu (the dining menu, as a card) is unique and very nice. Platonic supports the Visual Composer plugin, includes a full-screen slider, leaving customers reviews and providing excellent first impression.
As a website owner, it may be that you are dependent on revenue from ads. The advent of browser plugins such as AdBlock then poses a threat to your sales (even if you're probably using it yourself ;-). I'm not a fan of ads, but many websites and blogs offer a lot of free information and try to earn a living by placing ads.

Recognize and/or block AdBlock

The Ad Blocking Detector plug-in lets you recognize visitors who have installed an AdBlocker. If you really want, you can even block them so they can not access your website as long as they have activated their Adblock. This is more common with (free) news sites; They refuse access to people with an Adblock or ask them kindly to make an exception to this website. The latter approach is a lot more friendly and some of your visitors will be tempted to make an exception to your website.
At "The Washington Post" you can read (with AdBlock active) articles when you enter your email address.
With the aggressive approach (blocking Adblock users completely), people are likely to leave your website. You miss a visitor and the user will not see your content. It is therefore advisable to choose for a friendly approach. The image above (from The Washington Post ) is another example of a reasonable approach; You give users the choice: They disable their AdBlock or fill in their email address.

Prevent Adblock from recognizing the detector plugin

It is becoming easier to detect Adblock (ers), but it is likely that most Adblock applications will also recognize your so-called countermeasure. Also, many WordPress plugins for Ad Blocking Detection are on the so-called blacklist and are blocked by Adblockers, so your visitors are not affected by your plugin. Fortunately, here is another solution. The Ad Blocking Detector plugin has the ability to change the name of the plugin directory. Thus, the Adblocker does not recognize the plugin and prevent your Adblock measure from being "ignored" :-).
BuddyPress is a great plugin to make your WordPress website a live community. BuddyPress works - unfortunately - not with any regular WordPress theme. Fortunately, enough BuddyPress themes are created and in this article, I discuss the best premium BuddyPress themes. These are specially developed for BuddyPress, but also contain the normal WordPress pages (post.php, category.php, etc ..). You can, therefore, possibly - also develop a regular WordPress website. However, this is not wise, because the BuddyPress themes are often slightly heavier than normal WordPress themes.
Update September 5, 2016: I've added some new BuddyPress themes, updated prices, and unsupported themes.

If you look around the internet, you soon find that there are a lot of themes available for WordPress. There are already some free themes available, but premium themes are also abundant. For this month I went looking for the top 5 premium WordPress themes of August 2017.
This month there is something for everyone again in the top 5. I came up with a theme that you can use very easily when you start a webshop and I also came across a handy theme for You have plans to get started with a news website.

# 5 Zox News

A theme that you can ideally use for a news website has not been treated very often in the top 5's with premium WordPress themes in recent months. This month, however, I encountered the Zox News theme.
The theme is ideally suited for placing the latest news. Also, if you need it, you can choose to integrate WooCommerce. This way you can also sell your own items directly.

# 4 Alecta

Have you been a freelancer or agency and would you like to show your portfolio now? Then you can do that with Alecta. The theme makers take everything just as much as you are used to at most websites, and you'll see them right back in the unique homepages.
When installing, you already have the choice of one of the twelve already created homepages, or of course you will start making a homepage. Ideally, you can only get started with Drag-and-Drop due to the presence of the Visual Composer.

# 3 Creative

A theme that you can use to bring your photos to attention, that's what Kreativa offers you. The theme is ideally suited for building a modern and tidy photography website.
In order to add more attention to the pictures, the theme has a beautiful lightbox, which makes your photos a bit more highlighted. Also, Revolution Slider is available to put a slider on the website.

# 2 Display

Another theme that is suitable for Woocommerce is Vitrine. The theme grew to a bestseller last month, and of course it was not without reason.
With Vitrine you can choose to easily build the website itself, or go for one of the twenty unique demos. Also, fifty additional page designs are available. The theme is also provided with some cool features that only benefit the appearance of your website.

# 1 Negan

Negan is a WordPress Theme that you can use ideally if you are planning to build a minimalist website. There are as many as fifteen demos available, so you do not have to worry about completing the website at your own discretion.
Due to the different demos, you can also easily make the website suitable for the industry in which you operate. For example, you can use the theme for furniture and clothing, for example, as well as other products.
